About

Carol Stewart

Carol Stewart is a designer and writer whose work connects visual communication with the interpretation of history, culture, and lived experience.

After years of freelance digital design, branding, and marketing work while raising her family, she returned to Brigham Young University in January 2024 to study American Studies. Earlier coursework in interdisciplinary graphic design and in family, home, and social sciences grew into a focus on cultural interpretation, historical research, and writing.

She works as a research and editorial assistant on religious and historical manuscript projects, contributing research, drafting, revision, source verification, and citations, and supporting book and presentation work with design and content organization.

Her recent work includes a collaborative library installation on Gail S. Halvorsen, the Berlin Airlift’s Candy Bomber; ongoing historical research on Barbara B. Smith and women’s religious leadership; and writing on religious liberty, public memory, television and family life, and literary adaptation. In August 2026 she took part in the Interfaith Leadership Summit in Chicago with a BYU group.

She expects to graduate in April 2027 and is considering graduate study in American Studies.
